Sir Robert Balchin
Sir Robert Balchin, MEd DLitt DL is the chairman of the Trustees of ARNI. He is a distinguished
educationalist who led the movement for school autonomy in Great Britain. He was for six
years-in the 1980s-Director-General of St John Ambulance. He is the Chairman also of the
League of Mercy (a charity to encourage voluntary work in the field of caring for the
sick and disabled).
He is the Pro-Chancellor of Brunel University and in 2006 his appointment
as Knight Principal (Chairman of the Knights' Council) was approved by Her Majesty the
Queen.

Professor Alan Roberts
Colonel Alan Roberts, OBE,
TD, JP, DL, MPHIL, PhD, LLD, DSc, is Treasurer of the ARNI Trust. He is a distinguished
medical scientist, and most notably invented Indermil Tissue Adhesive. Trained in hospitals
in Newcastle and Leeds, he is a leading authority in the field of biomedical engineering,
and has received the Prince Philip Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Science and Technology
for his advances in implantation materials in the human body. He is Professor of Biomaterials
in Surgery at the University of Hull and consultant clinical scientist at St Luke’s
Hospital in Bradford. He was Pro-Chancellor of the University of Leeds for fourteen years
until his retirement in 2004. He now runs the Royal Society of Medicine's newest Section: 'Technology in Medicine'.

Nigel Branson
Nigel Branson, JP, is a Trustee
of the ARNI Trust. He has had a distinguished career in the City in the insurance industry,
and in 2002-3 was Sheriff of the City of London. He currently is Master of the Worshipful
Company of Haberdashers. He is a Trustee of the League of Mercy. |

Dr Tom Balchin
Dr Tom Balchin, MEd, PhD, is the
founder, Secretary and Chief Instructor of the ARNI Trust. He has worked at Goldsmiths College, Brunel and Reading Universities specialising in creativity theory and gifted education. He is currently a Visiting Lecturer at Middlesex University, specialising in stroke rehabilitation.

Liz Fowler
Liz Fowler is Senior Instructor at the Arni Trust. She is a specialist fitness instructor, and is a member of both the REPS Council and Exercise Referral Forum. As Fitness Manager with Nuffield Health, she works mainly in the area of GP Referrals and with Special Populations.
